A Major Victory for Immigrant Rights in Illinois
You don’t want to miss this!
Hi friend,
In case you missed it, Illinois just delivered a major win for immigrant families and constitutional rights.
Gov. JB Pritzker signed a new law protecting immigrants from being arrested near courthouses, hospitals, day cares, and college campuses, places where people should always feel safe seeking care, attending class, or exercising their legal rights.
For months, families across Illinois have lived in fear — afraid to go to the doctor, take their children to day care, or even show up for their own court hearings. This new law puts an end to that intimidation. It shields essential community spaces from immigration enforcement, defends medical and educational privacy, and even allows damages for those unlawfully targeted.
Thank you for standing with us!
