A preservation group has filed suit against the Trump administration over plans to repaint the historic Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool without following legally required review and preservation procedures.

The lawsuit argues that the administration ignored safeguards meant to protect historic sites and bypassed expert and public input before moving forward with major changes to the 104-year-old landmark.
