ICYMI: Applaud the Judge Upholding the Rule of Law

A federal judge has held the Department of Homeland Security in contempt after the agency failed to comply with a court order requiring it to preserve and produce records related to immigration enforcement operations in the Los Angeles area.

The court found that DHS had not acted with the urgency required to turn over records that could be relevant to allegations of unconstitutional immigration enforcement practices. To enforce compliance, the judge imposed daily fines until the agency follows the court's order.
