ICYMI: Cities Are Standing Up to Protect Their Communities
You don’t want to miss this!
Hi friend,
In case you missed it, cities across the country are stepping up in powerful ways to protect their communities from fear-driven immigration raids — and it’s worth celebrating.
From Minneapolis to Chicago, Philadelphia to Oakland, local leaders are creating “ICE-free zones” around hospitals, courthouses, parks, and other public spaces so families can seek care, attend school, and access services without fear. Prosecutors are building coalitions to hold federal agents accountable when they overstep, and city officials are documenting misconduct to defend residents’ rights.
This is what courage and creativity look like at the local level. When communities organize and elected officials listen, they can push back against chaos and defend civil liberties in real, tangible ways.
👉 Add your name to celebrate the cities and leaders standing up for their residents, protecting civil rights, and proving that when people come together, they can protect one another.
Thank you for standing with us!
In solidarity,
Emily from The Smile
