ICYMI: Court Blocks Trump’s $10B Welfare Freeze

A Manhattan court issued a temporary restraining order blocking the Trump administration from freezing $10 billion in welfare and child care funding for New York, California, Colorado, Illinois, and Minnesota.

These funds keep child care centers open, help parents work or attend school, and support low-income families, children, and people with disabilities. Trump’s attempted freeze had no legitimate justification and would have caused immediate harm to communities already stretched thin.
