ICYMI: Democrats Demand DOJ Transparency

The Democratic National Committee is suing the Justice Department to find out whether the Trump administration has considered seizing ballots, voting machines, or other election materials before the 2026 midterm results are certified.

The lawsuit comes after the DNC spent nearly five months seeking records from the DOJ and FBI about any planned or potential seizures without receiving responsive documents. While the lawsuit does not allege that such a plan exists, it seeks transparency about whether one has been contemplated.
