ICYMI: Judge Halts Big Bend Border Wall Construction

You don’t want to miss this!

Hi friend,

A federal judge has temporarily halted border wall construction across Texas’ sprawling Big Bend region, including Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. Judge Kathleen Cardone issued the preliminary injunction after conservation groups and a local river guide challenged the administration’s decision to waive dozens of environmental and historic-preservation laws to fast-track construction.

Cardone found that the plaintiffs are likely to succeed on at least one of their claims and could suffer irreparable harm if construction continued. The ruling pauses construction while the lawsuit moves forward, giving advocates fighting to preserve Big Bend’s wildlife, landscapes, and communities a major victory.

Thank you for standing with us!
