ICYMI: New Jersey Voters Fight Voter Roll Removals
You don’t want to miss this!
Hi friend,
New Jersey voters are fighting back against an effort to remove Democratic and unaffiliated voters from the rolls ahead of the November midterms. The League of Women Voters of New Jersey and three Bay Head residents have filed a lawsuit challenging a process that singled out 39 voters based on where their property tax bills were mailed, even though no Republican voters appeared on the list.
The affected voters received detailed questionnaires warning that their right to vote could be challenged. With a hearing scheduled for the same day as New Jersey's voter registration deadline, the plaintiffs are taking action to prevent eligible voters from being removed and to ensure that political affiliation doesn't determine who gets to cast a ballot.
Thank you for standing with us!
In solidarity,
