ICYMI: States Keep Pushing Climate Superfund Laws

You don’t want to miss this!

Hi friend,

Lawmakers in several states are continuing to pursue climate superfund policies that would require major fossil fuel producers to contribute toward climate-related costs. Vermont has already enacted a law, Minnesota lawmakers have introduced legislation, and lawmakers in Washington and Connecticut are preparing proposals. California, Illinois, and Massachusetts are also pursuing similar efforts.

The push is continuing despite two recent federal court rulings against New York’s Climate Change Superfund Act. Vermont’s law also faces legal challenges, while lawmakers elsewhere are considering how to design their proposals in light of the New York decisions.

Thank you for standing with us!

In solidarity,
