Missouri Voters Are Standing Up for Fair Maps!

In case you missed it, Missouri voters are standing up for democracy in a big way. After more than 300,000 people signed petitions to force a referendum on a GOP gerrymandered congressional map, voters are now suing to make sure that map can’t take effect before the public gets its say.

Represented by the ACLU of Missouri, these citizens are defending a core constitutional principle: when voters act, politicians must listen. Their lawsuit protects the referendum process itself and pushes back against an attempt to rush a partisan map into place behind closed doors.
