The Smile: 10/19

Thousands rally for No Kings protests, warning signs for Trump, and more!

October 19, 2026

Hi friend,

Happy Monday! Thousands of Americans gathered at more than 3,000 No Kings events across all 50 states this weekend, bringing communities together to defend voting rights and encourage participation in the upcoming midterm elections. Organizers focused on helping eligible voters make a plan, understand their options, and ensure their voices are heard, with activists emphasizing the importance of early voting and protecting access to the ballot box.

There's even more good news today: The Nebraska Supreme Court has upheld voting rights for citizens living abroad, Senate Democrats have unveiled new plans to strengthen Medicare, and a woman surprised her husband by paying off their family's debt!

Let’s dive into the good news! 💛
