California ends child marriage, early data show good news for Democrats, and more!
Hi friend,
Happy Friday! California has officially ended child marriage. Governor Gavin Newsom signed a new law establishing 18 as the minimum age to marry, ending California’s status as one of only three states without a statutory minimum marriage age.
There’s even more good news today: A federal appeals court ruled that President Trump’s name cannot be added to the U.S. Institute of Peace building, a federal judge rejected the Justice Department’s demand for Georgia’s unredacted voter rolls, and an adorable snow leopard cub has been born at the Bronx Zoo.
Let’s dive into the good news! 💛
