The DNC sues the Trump administration, a California scientist wins the Nobel Prize, and more!

Hi friend,

Happy Thursday! The DNC is taking the Trump administration to court over taxpayer-funded television ads portraying Trump favorably, arguing that public money was improperly used for what it describes as “campaign-style advertisements.” The lawsuit asks a federal judge to rule that the spending was unlawful and prevent taxpayer funds from being used for similar ads in the future.

There’s even more to applaud today: A Georgia court rejected an effort to restrict access to mail-ballot return locations in the state’s second-largest county, a legal effort in Missouri is seeking increased funding for historically Black colleges and universities, and a California scientist has won a Nobel Prize.

Let’s dive into the good news! 💛
