Democrats flip both the House and Senate, historic flips nationwide, and more!

November 04, 2026

Hi friend,

Happy Wednesday! What an incredible Election Day as Democrats win control of both the House and Senate! The Senate victories are especially historic, with Juliana Stratton becoming just the fifth Black woman ever elected to the chamber and Chris Pappas making history as the first openly gay man elected to the Senate.

And the good news doesn't stop there: James Talarico flipped a U.S. Senate seat in Texas, Keisha Lance Bottoms won Georgia's governor's race, and Virginia voters approved a constitutional amendment protecting abortion rights! There's so much to celebrate today, and we're excited to share even more of these incredible victories with you!

Let’s dive into the good news! 💛
