The Smile: 3/16

Dems are standing strong on voting rights, judge rules 1,100 Somali refugees can stay, Dallas kids are returning to library, and more!

Hi friend,

Happy Monday! Democrats are standing strong against Donald Trump’s voter suppression plan. Trump has threatened to sideline all other priorities, and special interests have put immense pressure on Democrats in Congress to give in. But Democrats are remaining firm in their fight to stop “The SAVE America Act” from blocking millions of Americans from voting, and they appear likely to prevail.

There’s more momentum today: Red states are rejecting the DOJ’s overreach on elections, a federal judge defended due process for Somali immigrants, even Republicans are fed up with the FCC chair’s threats against the free press, and Dallas kids are heading back to the library.

Let’s dive into the good news! 💛
