Arizona is fighting gambling on elections, Oklahoma kids may get more recess, Colorado is protecting trans kids, and more!
Hi friend,
Happy Thursday! Arizona just became the first state in the country to file criminal charges against Kalshi, a “prediction market” that allows gambling on elections. Sites like Kalshi and Polymarket give officials an incentive to manipulate policy and elections for profit. But Arizona’s attorney general just showed other states that they can hold these operations accountable.
There’s more momentum today: a judge indicated he may put an end to Trump’s ballroom debacle, Oklahoma is working to give kids’ more time to play, a Colorado school district is protecting trans kids from Trump, the list of No Kings events is growing, and a famous musical phone number is set to save lives.
Let’s dive into the good news! 💛
