Their lawsuit defends the essential role of independent journalism in our democracy and pushes back against political retaliation designed to silence the truth.

In other hopeful news: A dangerous abortion pill ban just failed in Texas, a judge tore into the Trump administration for denying deportees due process, and young Democrats are stepping up to lead the party forward.
