Court protects Vermont's voter rolls, gold retriever makes an unlikely friend, and more!
Hi friend,
Happy Friday! A federal judge in Vermont has rejected the Justice Department’s effort to obtain the state’s unredacted voter-registration data, marking the 24th decided case in which DOJ has not obtained the voter data it sought.
There’s even more good today: Most female Marines in combat roles are passing newly tightened physical-fitness requirements, researchers have identified a new wild cat species, and a federal judge has ordered the Kennedy Center to provide advance notice before making major physical changes to its building.
Let’s dive into the good news! 💛
