In a bold defense of state sovereignty and constitutional rights, Oregon and the City of Portland have filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump’s unlawful order deploying federal troops into the city. Their case makes clear: no president can trample on the Constitution to punish communities he disagrees with.

And in more good news: Democratic women are gaining ground in state legislatures through intentional training and organizing, a double-amputee veteran in Idaho Falls just received the keys to a new adaptive home, and California doctors can now prescribe abortion medication anonymously to protect patients and providers.
