This Group Is Defending Our Parks From Trump

The Center for Biological Diversity has filed a federal lawsuit to block the Trump administration from putting Donald Trump’s image on the 2026 America the Beautiful national park pass — a move that violates the law and turns a conservation program into political branding.

By law, the annual pass image must come from a public photography contest that celebrates the beauty of our national parks. This year’s winning photo from Glacier National Park was pushed aside so the administration could promote Trump instead. The lawsuit calls this out for what it is: an illegal bait-and-switch that undermines public trust, public participation, and the purpose of our park system.
